A bespoke website for a rural property surveyor whose clients were asking where to find them online.

The Challenge

A rural property surveyor came to me with a problem that was starting to cost them business: they had no website at all, and clients were noticing. Prospective clients were raising it directly, and some chose not to enquire because there was nowhere online to find the business, check its credentials or get a feel for it before picking up the phone.

Without a website, there was no way to be found through search, no base to send people to, and no way to build the trust a client looks for before commissioning a survey. With complaints coming from clients themselves, it was clear this wasn’t a nice to have. It was costing enquiries.

The Approach

I built a bespoke website from the ground up, designed around how a surveyor’s clients actually search and enquire, rather than adapting an off the shelf template. The site keeps things simple, with a smooth journey from the homepage through to an enquiry.

A dedicated properties for sale page gives the business a proper platform to showcase each listing, and buyers can download a full brochure for any property that catches their eye. The site was also built with local search in mind from the start, so the business can be found by people looking for surveying services in their area, not just by people who already know the name.

The Result

The business now has a professional home online: somewhere to send prospective clients, a showcase for the properties it is selling, and a site that can be found in local searches. The gap clients were complaining about has been closed.
